Best Digital Menu Software in India (2026)
We make one of the tools on this page, so read it with that in mind. What we have tried to do instead of pretending otherwise is be specific and checkable: every price and feature below comes from each company's own published material, and where a competitor is the better answer, we say so and explain why.
The short answer
vsite (₹299/month) is the best choice if you want a food photo on every dish and menu analytics that show which items make money. DineCard (₹99/month) is the cheapest way to put a text menu online. MenuScan (₹250–₹750/month) is the one to choose if you need customers to order and pay inside the menu today, which vsite does not do yet.
Prices, side by side

Which one should you actually pick?
You want a photo menu without hiring a photographer
→ vsite. Photograph your paper menu and every dish comes back with a matched food photo. The other tools extract your menu text and leave the photography to you — which is why most menus built on them have no pictures at all.
You only need your text menu online, as cheaply as possible
→ DineCard. At ₹99/month it does the core job — AI extraction, price updates, 15+ Indian languages — for a third of vsite's price. If pictures and menu analytics do not matter to you, this is the sensible choice.
You need customers to order and pay inside the menu, this month
→ MenuScan. It has table ordering, kitchen notifications, Razorpay payments and a POS tier today. vsite does not take orders yet — ours is coming, theirs is live. Do not wait on us for this.
You want to know which dishes actually make you money
→ vsite. Menu engineering is built in: every dish is classified Star, Plowhorse, Puzzle or Dog on popularity against margin. Neither DineCard nor MenuScan lists any profitability analysis.
You run several outlets under one brand
→ vsite. Custom-designed menus per brand, one dashboard across every outlet, and custom QR and NFC stands supplied at cost. DineCard does not offer multi-outlet management.
You need a Telugu, Marathi or Bengali menu
→ DineCard. They support 15+ Indian languages. vsite is Tamil and English today — we are built for Tamil Nadu and have not pretended otherwise.
1. vsite — ₹299/month
A self-serve digital menu platform built in Tamil Nadu, live since March 2026. Photograph your paper menu, the AI reads every dish, price and category in Tamil and English, and each dish is matched to a food photo. Best for restaurants that want the menu to look like something, and owners who want to know which dishes earn their place.
- Menu engineering, built in. Every dish is classified Star, Plowhorse, Puzzle or Dog using the Kasavana–Smith model with fuzzy-logic scoring across popularity and margin — the framework hotel schools teach, running on your own sales data. It tells you which dish to promote, which to reprice, and which to cut. No other tool in this price bracket in India offers it.
- A photo for every dish, matched automatically. A curated food photography library matched to your dish names by AI embeddings, so a 200-item menu arrives with 200 photos rather than 200 empty frames. Competitors extract your menu text and leave the photographs to you — which is why most menus built on them have none.
- Hundreds of items imported at once. Photograph the menu and the AI reads every item, price, category and variant, in Tamil and English, including handwritten boards. A large menu is minutes of checking, not an evening of typing.
- Banners and one-click offers. Run a promotional banner across the top of your menu, or put an offer on a single dish from the dashboard in one click. The discount shows as a tinted card with the saving in rupees — not a percentage the customer has to work out.
- Three menu designs, and your own brand colour. Pick Classic, Cafe or Premium, set your brand colour and choose whether your logo appears. The menu can look like your restaurant rather than like the software that made it.
- Built for multi-outlet brands too. Chains get custom-designed menus, one dashboard with analytics across every outlet, and custom QR and NFC stands supplied at cost.
What it does not do: ordering and payment inside the menu are not live yet. Customers read the menu and order with your staff. It is coming at no extra cost on the same ₹299 plan — but if you need it now, pick MenuScan.
2. DineCard — ₹99/month (₹999/year)
A display-only digital menu for Indian restaurants, built around AI extraction of a photographed paper menu, with support for 15+ Indian languages.
What it includes
- AI extraction of a photographed paper menu
- 15+ Indian languages, including Tamil
- Real-time price updates from a phone
- Half/full plate variant detection
- A branded subdomain (yourname.dinecard.in)
What it does not include
- — Menu engineering or item profitability analysis
- — AI-generated food photos or a matched photo library
- — Promotional banners
- — Per-item offers and discounts
- — Multi-outlet or franchise management
- — Menu design themes — their own comparison page lists “limited design customization” as a drawback
Choose DineCard if
- It is a third of the price. At ₹99/month, a restaurant that only needs its text menu online and will add its own photos is genuinely better served there.
- 15+ Indian languages against our Tamil and English. Outside Tamil Nadu — a Telugu or Marathi menu — they cover more ground than we do today.
- A 14-day trial against our 7.
3. MenuScan — ₹250/month Basic · ₹600 Premium · ₹750 Premium + POS
A QR ordering system for Indian restaurants: table ordering, kitchen notifications, payments through Razorpay and GST billing, with an optional POS tier.
What it includes
- In-menu ordering with kitchen notifications
- Payments via UPI, cards and net banking through Razorpay
- GST-compliant billing
- Table management and order-to-table mapping
- Multi-location support
- A waiter POS on the top tier
What it does not include
- — Menu engineering or profitability analysis
- — AI-generated food photos or a matched photo library
- — Bulk import of an existing menu from a photograph
- — Promotional banners and per-item offers
- — Menu design themes
Their published plans also cap the menu: 100 items on Basic and 300 on Premium. vsite does not cap items on any plan.
Choose MenuScan if
- They take orders and payments today. vsite does not — ours is coming, theirs is live. If you need in-menu ordering this month, this is the honest recommendation.
- A built-in POS on the ₹750 tier, which vsite does not offer at any price.
How to choose, in four questions
- Do you need photographs? If your menu sells on appearance — cakes, shakes, biryani, anything a first-time visitor is choosing by sight — a text-only menu is the wrong tool at any price.
- How many items do you have? Above about 80, manual entry becomes an evening of typing. Check whether the tool imports a whole menu from a photo, and check the plan's item cap.
- Do you need ordering today? If yes, that narrows it immediately — and rules vsite out for now.
- One outlet or several? Multi-outlet brands need cross-outlet analytics and consistent design, which most tools in this bracket do not offer at all.
