How do I change the design of my vsite menu?

Updated:

Choose one of three designs, Classic, Cafe or Premium, plus a brand colour and a lettering style. You pick a design when you launch, and you can change it any time in Store Settings under Menu design. Your dishes, prices and photos stay the same, and printed QR codes keep working.

What you need

  • A launched menu (or pick a design during setup)
  • About a minute

Steps

  1. Open Store Settings and then Menu design

In the dashboard open Store Settings (Settings on a phone, or You then Store settings) and tap the "Menu design" tab.

    about 10 seconds

  2. Choose a design

Tap Classic ("Clean and familiar. The safe choice."), Cafe ("Warm and hand-made. Suits tiffin rooms and coffee shops.") or Premium ("Spare and expensive. Suits hotels and dine-in restaurants."). A preview uses your own dish names and prices.

    about 20 seconds

  3. Choose a brand colour

Tap one of the colours under "Brand colour": Pink, Terracotta, Green, Navy, Mustard or Black. The menu uses it for accents such as prices.

    about 10 seconds

  4. Choose a lettering style (optional)

Under "Lettering" pick Classic, Warm or Sharp. Each design has a matching default, and Tamil text has a matching Tamil typeface in every style.

    about 10 seconds

  5. Open "See my live menu" to check it

Every choice saves as you tap it, so there is no Save button. Tap "See my live menu" to see exactly what customers see.

    about 20 seconds

The three designs

ClassicClean and familiar. The safe choice. Default lettering: Classic. The design every new menu starts with.
CafeWarm and hand-made, with rounder cards. Suits tiffin rooms and coffee shops. Default lettering: Warm.
PremiumSpare and expensive, with sharp corners and small capital section titles. Suits hotels and dine-in restaurants. Default lettering: Sharp.

What you can and cannot change

  • You can change: design, brand colour and lettering style.
  • If a colour is too light to read as a price, the menu darkens it a little and tells you so.
  • The menu heading shows your shop name. There is no logo or cover photo upload; your banners are the picture space (see the banners page).
  • Dishes, prices, categories and photos are not touched by a design change.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my menu design after launching?

Yes, any time, from Store Settings then Menu design. The change is instant and printed QR codes keep working.

Can I use my own logo on the menu?

Not today. The menu heading shows your shop name, and you can add banner images for offers and visuals.

Can I pick any colour I like?

You choose from six brand colours: Pink, Terracotta, Green, Navy, Mustard and Black.

Does the menu design work for Tamil dish names?

Yes. Every lettering style is paired with a Tamil typeface, so Tamil and English names both look right.
